Tahiti Festivals Guide
french polynesia festival
The main French Polynesia holidays are from the third week in December to mid-January. Between this Christmas period local flights can be full as locals return home to visit relatives so it is wise to book ahead.

Sundays are observed as a day of rest and only a few shops are open, bus services are limited and churches are full.
